Obama-Joker poster goes viral

Posters of President Barack Obama with makeup made to look like The Joker, as played by Heath Ledger in the Batman movie The Dark Knight, have popped up on the streets of Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES — The poster is a combination of two familiar faces — one whose image has come to conjure feelings of “hope” and “change,” the other, a villain and a criminal.
Posters of President Barack Obama with makeup made to look like The Joker, as played by Heath Ledger in the Batman movie The Dark Knight, have popped up on the streets of Los Angeles.
Printed below the president’s white face, black-rimmed eyes and exaggerated, red smile is the word, “socialism” in bold, black letters.
The poster’s creator is not yet known, nor is it clear who has plastered the posters across the city.
The poster went viral online, crashing the website that originally posted the image. On Tuesday afternoon, “Obama joker poster” was listed at Number 12 on Google’s “Hot Trends” list, a list of 100 top queries entered in the search engine.
